Heather McCartney found a delicious way to share her fascination
with the tribal arts of Africa: Ethnic Edibles, a company that produces
cookies and cookie-making kits based on traditional African (and
now Puerto Rican and Cuban) shapes and symbols. The New York Post
calls McCartney's business "a flourishing business and a
way of sharing her culture."

After her wedding cake showed up wrong - Sherry knew that there
was a need for someone who could really fulfill a bride's wishes.
She knew she could do it - she had studied art while growing up.
To Sherry, a cake is not just a cake - it's a sculpture.

A STORY OF LIGHT AND ITS INTERACTION WITH THINGS MAN-MADE AND NATURAL
www.kenortongallery.com
Ken Orton is a figurative painter. He lives in Roxbury in the Catskill
Mountains 130 miles north of New York City. In the nearby village
of Fleischmanns he has a gallery displaying his current work. His
work includes portraiture and landscape. His portraits are amazingly
life-like. In recent years his landscape and still-life work has
focused repeatedly on the disused and redundant, using dilapidated
motels, rusting old cars and mothballed aircraft as his themes.
He has traveled from Alcatraz to Block Island and uses his skills
as a draughtsman and colorist in producing a body of unique and
sensitive images, an Englishman's poignant vision of the lost toys
of the American Dream.
