Why you should become a member of MicroBizNY

MicroBizNY is an association of microenterprise development organizations, practitioners, and supporters dedicated to promoting enterprise opportunities for people and communities in New York State. MicroBizNY will only be as strong as it’s members. To grow the field of microenterprise in NY, organizations will need to speak with one unified voice. MicroBizNY wants to be that voice. MicroBizNY can help develop successful microenterprises in your community by:

  • Developing methods for practitioners, lenders, and other support organizations to publicize the impact and success of microenterprise strategy in the appropriate circles through the use of media and the Internet.
  • Educate policymakers and the public on the growing importance of microenterprise and the need to support and fund programs that place emphasis on self-sufficiency among low-income and minority individuals.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and networking opportunities to over 80 microenterprise practitioner organizations annually.
